Home Head Protection DIY SOS The Big Build

DIY SOS The Big Build

JSP are proud to have donated bespoke safety helmets to the DIY SOS team for their most recent ‘Big Build’ project in Scunthorpe.
After seeing a tweet from the DIY SOS official twitter page requesting Safety Helmets for their next project, we contacted them directly to show our support.

Each helmet has the team members name on the front, along with our reflective CR2 decal kits in various colours as seen below.

Due to our Manufacturing Headquarters being based within the UK, we were able to get these branded safety helmet’s to the team in less than a week, preventing any delay to work and filming.

‘The Big Build’ airs on BBC one and shows presenter Nick Knowles and his team, along with tradesmen and women volunteering to help a family or individual in need. As you can see from the images below, the sheer amount of support from the local community, friends, family and businesses was  incredible.

What makes this different to the standard DIY SOS show, is that The Big Build can often include re-builds of homes, or construction of new buildings all together, unlike the traditional DIY SOS which focuses on much more manageable jobs within such short time frames.

The DIY SOS team, along with many volunteers worked tirelessly in their biggest challenge yet; transforming this family home in Scunthorpe in just 5 days.

“Its pretty amazing what you’ve achieved.” – Nick Knowles

It was a real pleasure to not only contribute to a great cause, but to physically see a community pull together in honour of helping a very deserving family. They showed their thanks by working their way around the crowds to give their thanks and appreciation face to face.

Make sure you stay tuned for this episode, coming to your screens soon.
